How will it benefit the people of Merseyside?

Poor local air quality is a growing problem around the country. In Liverpool City centre the air quality is so poor that it does not meet national air quality standards. To address this issue Liverpool City Council have declared two Air Quality Management Areas (AQMA's) based on an exceedance of NOx (Nitrogen Oxides). The ECOtravel bureau promotes the use of vehicles with a reduced impact on local air quality.

Climate change is of concern to us all but especially for anyone living near watercourses or in coastal locations. Merseyside has an extensive coastline and several large rivers. This makes the area particularly vulnerable to the increased risk of flooding brought about by climate change. The ECOtravel bureau promotes the use of vehicles with reduced CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) emissions. CO2 accounts for around 80% of the global warming gases emitted from petrol and diesel vehicles.
